“Through roots we rise” — Albanian hearts unite at Diaspora Summit

The Diaspora Summit IV opened today in Tirana. It gathers Albanians from around the world. The event promotes cooperation, identity, and development.

The summit runs on April 13–15. It uses the slogan “Through roots we rise.” It brings together diaspora representatives, state institutions, business leaders, academics, and civil society. The goal is to strengthen ties between Albania and Albanians abroad.

Organizers planned 18 panels over three days. Speakers discuss economic cooperation and diaspora investments. They highlight tourism promotion and the country’s image. They focus on knowledge transfer in education, science, and innovation.

Panels also address cultural and language identity. They encourage youth participation. They aim to build lasting communication among Albanian professionals worldwide.

Discussions cover digitalization and sustainable development. They also examine better public policies for the diaspora. Participants seek a shared vision for the future.

At the welcome ceremony in the Pallati i Kongreseve, President Bajram Begaj honored distinguished diaspora personalities.
