Work on Phase III of the Tirana–Durrës highway expansion is progressing rapidly.
Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu shared footage from the construction site. The project aims to transform one of Albania’s busiest transport corridors into modern infrastructure that meets European standards.
The investment will improve traffic flow and increase road safety. It is also expected to support economic development in the areas along the Tirana–Durrës corridor.
Meanwhile, workers completed the installation of the metal beams for the new overpass in Kashar ahead of schedule. As a result, traffic can continue normally along the highway.
The project forms part of Albania’s wider infrastructure investments and supports the country’s development goals for 2030 and its European integration process.
The Tirana–Durrës highway remains one of Albania’s most important transport routes. It connects the capital with the coastal city and carries heavy traffic every day.
