Today marks final deadline for National Agriculture Support Scheme applications

TIRANA, July 6 – Albania’s Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development (AZHBR) said today is the final day to apply for the 2026 National Agriculture Support Scheme after the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development extended the deadline.

The agency said it will accept applications for all support measures until 4:30 p.m.

The scheme provides financial support for livestock farming, beekeeping, sows and gilts, biological pest control, organic farms, Global G.A.P. certification, cultivated land and restocking of inland waters. In addition, it supports investments for young farmers, mountain livestock shelters and agricultural machinery.

AZHBR urged farmers to complete their applications before the deadline. Farmers must submit applications for direct support through the e-Albania portal. Meanwhile, applicants seeking investment support must deliver their physical documents to the agency’s headquarters.

Earlier, the ministry extended the application deadline from June 26 to July 6 to give more farmers time to complete the required procedures.

The 2026 National Agriculture Support Scheme opened on May 25. The programme aims to boost agricultural production, modernise farms and promote the sustainable development of Albania’s agricultural sector.
