Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama visited Tokyo today after his official trip to South Korea.
Tokyo displayed the flags of Albania and Japan along major streets to honor relations between the two countries.
Rama shared photos on social media showing the Albanian flag flying beside the Japanese flag in the Japanese capital.
The visit aims to strengthen cooperation between Albania and Japan. The two countries seek closer ties in the economy, culture and diplomacy.
According to the agenda, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi will welcome Rama with an Honor Guard ceremony. The two leaders are expected to hold bilateral talks focused on strategic partnership and deeper cooperation.
During the visit, Rama will also attend institutional and economic events. He will visit the United Nations University in Tokyo and speak at a discussion panel titled “Albania’s Path Toward EU Membership: The Role of Japan.”
He will discuss Albania’s European integration process and the role of young people in sustainable development.
