“Tourism Development Pole” project transforms former government residence in Sarandë

The Council of Ministers approves amendments to transfer the “Government Residence” property in Sarandë to the municipality.

Authorities include the site in the “Tourism Development Pole of Sarandë” project. They design it as an Eco-Smart campus stretching from Qafa e Gjashtës to the former residence area.

The government removes restrictions that previously blocked the municipality from transferring or leasing the property.

Planners develop the area into an integrated cultural and economic hub. The project combines tourism, education, accommodation, arts, and community activities.

Officials create a model that links tourism with education. The plan increases employment, builds skills, and improves living standards for the local community.

The project upgrades infrastructure. It builds parking areas, internal roads, and landscaped public spaces. It also develops zones for a school, activities, accommodation, and greenery.

The government allocates part of the site for a 9-year school. It supports pre-university education programs.

The Municipality of Sarandë and the State Cadastre Agency implement the project. The decision takes effect immediately and enters the Official Gazette.
