Tourists continue to visit Vlora in September as they enjoy the final days of summer, the city’s natural beauty and its lively coastal atmosphere.
The coastal city remains a popular destination even after the peak summer months. September brings milder temperatures and a quieter atmosphere. This combination attracts visitors who want to enjoy the sea while exploring the area’s tourist attractions.
Vlora Mayor Bruna Mersini shared visitors’ impressions of their September stays in the city. She said tourists value both Vlora’s natural attractions and the hospitality they receive from local residents.
“September tourists enjoy Vlora not only for its natural beauty, but also for the hospitality they find here,” Mersini said.
Meanwhile, international visitors continue to highlight the city’s beaches and welcoming atmosphere. A tourist from Ukraine said she chose Vlora after seeing the destination on Instagram and Booking.
“Vlora has a beautiful sea and a very pleasant atmosphere. I saw it on Instagram and Booking and chose Vlora to spend a few days on holiday,” she said.
Another visitor, who returned to Albania for the second time and visited Vlora for the first time, praised the local people.
“The people are wonderful. You have very friendly and kind people,” she said.
September also attracts older travelers, including pensioners who prefer to avoid the heavy crowds of the summer season. The quieter period allows them to enjoy the coast at a more relaxed pace.
At the same time, visitors can combine beach holidays with cultural and natural tourism. They can explore the Lungomare and local beaches, as well as nearby natural areas and historical and cultural attractions.
Beyond its landscapes and coastline, Vlora also benefits from the hospitality of its residents. Local hospitality adds to the visitor experience and gives the destination a distinctive character.
With its sea, natural scenery, favorable climate and diverse tourism offer, Vlora remains one of Albania’s key tourist destinations in September. The continued flow of visitors also shows that the coastal tourism season now extends beyond the peak summer months.
