Border crossing points in Korçë County continue to experience an increasing flow of travelers entering and leaving Albania. Over the past 24 hours, 5,252 Albanian and foreign nationals entered the country through the Kapshticë Border Crossing Point, while 4,658 people crossed into Greece.
Border authorities said the traffic remains manageable and is being handled efficiently by both the Albanian and Greek border services. However, a further increase in passenger numbers is expected in the coming days as Albanian expatriates return home for their summer holidays, while many residents also travel to Greece for short vacations.
The Qafë Thanë Border Crossing Point also recorded heavy traffic over the past 24 hours. According to official figures, 5,321 people entered Albania, while 4,799 travelers exited the country toward North Macedonia.
Statistics from the first four days of August indicate a significant rise in cross-border movement. A total of 37,781 travelers have been processed at the Kapshticë Border Crossing Point, while 42,219 passengers have crossed through Qafë Thanë during the same period.
