Transparency Board Increases Fuel and By-Product Prices

The Transparency Board has decided on Friday to increase the price of fuel and its by-products. According to the decision, the retail price of diesel (gasoil) under the SSH EN 590 standard must not exceed 224 ALL per liter, while the wholesale price is set at 212 ALL per liter. This level follows a 20% reduction in excise duty and a decrease in VAT of 9.5 ALL per liter.

Similarly, the retail price of gasoline under the SSH EN standard has been set at 181 ALL per liter, while the wholesale price is 169 ALL per liter.

The new prices come into effect today, April 3, at 20:00, and will remain valid until the next Board meeting, where further price changes will be reflected.

The Board calls on wholesale and retail operators to comply with the decision, warning that violations may result in suspension of activity.

The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, together with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, are committed to protecting the interests of Albanian consumers and ensuring fair competition in the market.
