Transparency Board sets new maximum fuel prices

The Transparency Board set new maximum prices for diesel and petrol on Wednesday, October 14. Retailers may charge up to ALL 213 per litre for diesel, while wholesalers face a ceiling of ALL 201. For petrol, the retail limit stands at ALL 190 per litre and the wholesale limit at ALL 178.

The new prices took effect on Wednesday and will remain in force until the board meets again to review possible changes. Meanwhile, the board reminded fuel wholesalers and retailers to comply with its decision. It warned that violations could lead to suspension of their activities.

The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy said they remain committed to protecting consumers and ensuring fair competition in the market.
