During today’s Senate hearing on his nomination as U.S. ambassador to Albania, Eric Wendt was asked by one of the senators about how he would institutionally respond to investments expected to be made by the Trump family in Albania.

The senator further asked whether Wendt would take action if those investments did not provide equal opportunities for all parties involved.

Wendt stated that his duty would be to serve as the U.S. ambassador to Albania and to enforce the rules.

“I am not personally connected to the investments of the Trump family. I will do my job as ambassador; if those companies follow the rules, then we will be fine.

As for SPAK, I would say it has been effective. Senator, I agree with your view and I believe that everyone should have equal opportunities.”
