Ura e Vashës has become one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the Klos area. The historic bridge is attracting a growing number of Albanian and international visitors this summer.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the bridge on social media. He highlighted it as a popular destination where visitors can cool off in the waters of the Mat River during the final days of August.
The bridge crosses the Mat River between Klos and the village of Guri i Bardhë. It combines cultural heritage with the area’s natural landscape.
Visitors stop at the site to enjoy the scenery and photograph the historic structure. They also explore one of the distinctive examples of traditional Albanian architecture.
Builders constructed the bridge with stone and limestone mortar. It measures 11 meters long and 2.8 meters wide. Its semicircular arch rises around 7 meters above the river.
The surrounding area adds to the bridge’s appeal. Mountain landscapes attract visitors who want to enjoy nature, peace, and history.
The bridge also connects with the Arbër Road route. Its location has helped increase its visibility among travelers exploring destinations beyond Albania’s traditional tourist routes.
Klos Municipality has promoted Ura e Vashës as a tourism destination for both domestic and international visitors.
Today, the bridge remains one of Klos’s key tourist landmarks. It brings together history, traditional architecture, and the natural beauty of the Mat region.
