US Embassy trains Border Police to fight cross-border threats

The U.S. Embassy in Tirana announced that the U.S. International Investigative Unit completed a specialized training with Albania’s Border Police. The focus was on detecting illegal documents and assessing risks.

The training emphasized practical techniques to spot forgeries. It also strengthened officers’ professional skills in the field.

The embassy highlighted that increased expertise and interagency cooperation will enhance joint efforts against cross-border threats.

It reaffirmed its commitment to support Albanian institutions in securing borders and national safety.

The embassy stated: “Our International Investigative Unit recently completed specialized training with the Border Police. The focus was on practical techniques for detecting illegal documents and strengthening risk assessment skills. By increasing expertise and cooperation, we continue to reinforce joint efforts against cross-border threats and remain committed to protecting our borders and national security.”
