US–Iran Ceasefire: Albania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Reacts

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania has expressed its position regarding the recent agreement on a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, describing it as a positive step toward reducing tensions.

In an official statement, Albanian diplomacy emphasized that it has consistently supported efforts aimed at calming tense situations through restraint and meaningful dialogue between the parties.

According to the Ministry, recent developments have significantly impacted global markets, particularly in the energy sector, where uncertainties surrounding the Strait of Hormuz have had consequences for economies worldwide. In this context, the urgent need to restore stability and ensure the free flow of maritime trade is highlighted.

The contribution of several countries that have played a mediating and supportive role in this process is also appreciated, including Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.

In conclusion, it is stressed that respecting the ceasefire and demonstrating serious commitment to a sustainable and comprehensive solution will directly contribute to strengthening regional stability and ensuring security and peace.
