US Praises Albania for Repatriating Citizens from Syria

In a social media post, the US Embassy in Tirana announced that two women and three children were recently returned to Albania, giving them the opportunity for a new future with support for rehabilitation and reintegration.

“A win for these families and for global security,” the US Embassy said in its message.

The repatriation of Albanian citizens from camps in Syria has been part of a process pursued by Albanian authorities for years, as part of efforts to bring them home and reintegrate them into society.
