Velipojë: Well-Managed Public Beaches Offer Clean and Organized Conditions for Visitors

Velipojë beach, with a coastline stretching over 14 kilometers, remains one of the most visited destinations by both domestic and foreign tourists this summer season.

First, authorities have expanded public beach areas and improved coastal management, which has significantly increased the number of visitors.

Next, Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the crowded beach and praised the management of public spaces by Shkodër Municipality.

He said the municipality ensures clean, organized, and accessible conditions for all visitors.

In addition, the local government has improved cleaning services and public space management, providing better conditions for tourists throughout the season.

At the same time, visitors can access services at an affordable rate of 400 ALL for one umbrella and two sunbeds.

However, about 30–35% of Velipojë beach remains free public space, open and maintained for those who choose not to use paid services.

Finally, Velipojë continues to attract tourists with its natural landscape, combining sea, river delta, lagoons, forests, and therapeutic sand, making it one of the country’s most popular coastal destinations.
