Vjosa River attracts more tourists with summer rafting adventures

TIRANA, July 13 – The Vjosa River has become one of the most popular summer destinations for visitors seeking adventure and cooler temperatures.

High summer temperatures have increased interest in the river’s wild landscapes, untouched nature and outdoor activities. Local and foreign tourists visit Vjosa not only to relax but also to experience water sports.

Rafting remains the most popular activity on the river. The experience combines adventure with the natural beauty of one of Europe’s last wild rivers.

Meanwhile, tourists say interest in rafting on Vjosa continues to grow every year. Tourism operators report a rising number of visitors who choose the activity as part of their holiday experience.

Robert Tabaku, a tourism operator, said the number of visitors is expected to increase throughout the summer season. He added that rafting helps promote the natural values of Vjosa and strengthens its role as a key tourism destination.
