TIRANA, July 16 – Vllaznia of Shkodër have ended their UEFA Conference League campaign after losing 5-0 to Malisheva in the second leg of the first qualifying round.
The match took place at the “Zahir Pajaziti” Stadium in Podujeva. Malisheva overturned the result from the first leg and secured qualification for the next round.
Meanwhile, the Shkodër-based side, coached by Edi Martini, struggled to respond after conceding 2 goals in the first half. The hosts scored 3 more times after the break and completed a convincing victory.
Earlier, Vllaznia had won the first leg 2-1 at the “Loro Boriçi” Stadium in Shkodër. However, the advantage from that match was not enough to keep the Albanian team in the competition.
As a result, Vllaznia’s European journey comes to an end in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. The Shkodër club will now focus on its domestic commitments for the new season.
