Vllaznia Women Crowned Albanian Champions After 2–0 Win Over Apolonia

Vllaznia won the 2025–2026 Albanian women’s football championship after defeating Apolonia 2–0 in the final at Selman Stërmasi Stadium.

With this victory, Vllaznia secured their 13th consecutive league title. First, captain Megi Doçi broke the deadlock in the first half. She gave Vllaznia the lead after a tightly contested opening 45 minutes.

Then, Apolonia pushed forward in the second half and tried to recover. However, Vllaznia controlled the game and managed the advantage effectively.

Finally, Teresa Deda scored in the 81st minute to seal the win and confirm the championship. After the final whistle, officials held the medal and trophy ceremony.

Albanian Football Association representatives, including vice-president Lutfi Nuri and executive committee member Anila Basha, presented the awards to the champions.

As a result of Albania’s improved UEFA coefficient, the country will now have two representatives in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Vllaznia will compete in the Champions Path, while Apolonia will enter the League Path. Both teams will begin their European campaigns from the second qualifying round.
