TIRANA, July 31 – Vlora Municipal Police launched an operation today to clear public beach areas that had been illegally occupied, restoring access for residents and holidaymakers.
The police said the operation followed the expiration of all deadlines for voluntary compliance. Authorities had repeatedly notified the businesses involved before taking action.
Meanwhile, the municipal police said authorities acted after the responsible parties failed to meet their obligations. The operation returned the occupied areas to public use.
The Public Services Enterprise and Vlora Municipal Police will continue inspections and remove illegally occupied public spaces along the coastline.
Authorities said the campaign aims to guarantee free and equal access to public beaches for all citizens and visitors.
