TIRANA, September 7 – Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koca has highlighted the importance of vocational education as a concrete opportunity for young people to prepare for the labour market and build their professional future.
In a social media post, Koca shared messages from Ema and Belkisa, two students who have chosen vocational education to study information technology and software engineering. Koca said their experience shows that vocational education can provide a path to employment, professional development and a successful future in Albania.
Ema, who studies software engineering at Hermann Gmeiner School, said vocational education has given her the opportunity to prepare for the labour market while still at school. Belkisa, an information technology student at Gjergj Canco School, highlighted the opportunities vocational education offers for her future development.
Both students also stressed the importance of greater representation of girls in vocational education, particularly in technology-related fields and professions of the future. Belkisa said the presence of girls in vocational education can serve as a strong source of encouragement and motivation.
