The Albanian government has approved a decision declaring the village of Vuno an immovable cultural heritage site and a Historical Center, while also defining its protected zone.
According to the decision, authorities established the boundaries of Vuno’s Historical Center based on zoning maps and coordinates within the Albanian Geodetic Reference Framework.
In addition, the government approved a plan for the preservation, protection, and management of both the Historical Center and its surrounding protected area.
Meanwhile, the new decision repeals a 2016 Council of Ministers decision that previously designated Vuno’s Historical Center and regulated the administration of its protected zone.
Furthermore, the State Authority for Geospatial Information will publish the maps of the Historical Center and its protected area on the National Geoportal. At the same time, the State Cadastre Agency will register the site in accordance with the legislation in force.
The government assigned the implementation of the decision to the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, and the Municipality of Himarë.
Finally, the decision will enter into force after its publication in the Official Gazette.
