Za Fest Celebrates Its 10th Edition in Shkodra

The 10th edition of Za Fest begins today in Shkodra, bringing music, art, and culture to the city under the direction of festival founder and singer-songwriter Vlashent Sata.

Organizers launched Za Fest in 2017 to promote Albanian culture through music, art, literature, and other creative forms. The festival first took place in Theth, transforming the Alpine landscape into a natural stage where music, legends, and Albanian traditions came together.

Over the years, Za Fest has expanded to other cultural landmarks in Shkodra, including Rozafa Castle, the Historical Museum of Shkodra, and other heritage sites.

The anniversary edition will run from July 23 to 25 at the Historical Museum and Shkodra Castle.

The festival continues to attract artists from Albanian-speaking regions and beyond. Tonight, visitors at the Historical Museum of Shkodra will enjoy performances by Rafael Hoxhaj, Rita Petro, Mimoza Ahmeti, Linda Rukaj, and Denald Grepcka.

The lineup also features well-known names such as NRG Band, Shpat Deda, West Side Family, and Vlashent Sata.

Throughout previous editions, Za Fest has welcomed dozens of Albanian and international artists. The festival has become a meeting point for alternative music, folklore, poetry, theatre, contemporary ballet, and cinema.
