Football Federation begins regional selections to identify young talent

The Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) has begun selections for its Regional Representative Teams as part of a nationwide process to identify and select young football talent. The process covers players born in 2014 and 2015.

The selections started in Gjirokastra on October 8 and will continue in seven other cities. The schedule includes Durrës on October 12, Elbasan on October 13, Shkodër on October 14, Fier on October 15, Lezha on October 19, Korça on October 20 and Tirana on October 21.

Meanwhile, regional associations have informed the relevant clubs and invited selected players to take part. FSHF’s Technical Directorate is coordinating the process, while national team coaches appointed by the directorate will assess and select the players. The federation said the initiative will expand its work to identify young talent and give players an opportunity to progress towards representative teams.
