Fuel price board sets retail prices at ALL 217 for diesel, ALL 193 for petrol

Albania’s Transparency and Temporary Price Limitation Board has set the maximum retail price of diesel at ALL 217 per litre and petrol at ALL 193 per litre. The new prices took effect on October 8 at 12:00 and will remain in force until the board’s next meeting.

The board set the wholesale price of diesel at ALL 205 per litre and petrol at ALL 181 per litre. It approved the new prices at its second meeting after the government declared a special situation in the hydrocarbons market on September 16.

Meanwhile, the board reminded wholesale and retail operators that they must apply the approved prices. It based the decision on legislation governing the processing, transport and trade of oil, gas and their products, as well as amendments to the excise law.
