Minister of Justice Toni Gogu held a meeting on Thursday with the European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath.
Discussions focused on strengthening the rule of law and Albania’s path towards the European Union.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the consolidation and sustainability of judicial reform, the fulfilment of EU integration criteria, and the role of the Ministry of Justice in these processes.
The Ministry of Justice remains committed to advancing reforms and meeting European standards, with the aim of ensuring a more effective justice system, well-functioning institutions, and stronger guarantees for citizens’ rights.
