Save Youth platform helps students report school bullying

A new online platform called Save Youth aims to simplify reports of bullying, harassment and violence in schools.

Students conceived the initiative. The Agency for Innovation developed the platform, with the Centre for the Prevention of Juvenile and Youth Crime acting as intermediary.

The platform was presented at Sevasti Qiriazi high school. Justice Minister Toni Gogu attended the event. He said the tool would help students seek support and feel heard.

Gogu stressed that technology cannot replace human relationships. Children still need support from friends, parents, teachers and psychologists. However, the platform can help them reach out when speaking up feels difficult.

The next step involves testing the platform and assessing its impact. The aim is to expand it to other schools in Tirana.

Gogu said listening to young people was a duty. He described turning their ideas into solutions as a responsibility. He added that no child should feel alone when facing bullying.
