Albania–Turkey friendship group to advance youth cooperation

Members of the Foreign Affairs Committee visited Turkey to strengthen interparliamentary cooperation. Talks focused on joint programs for young people.

The Albanian delegation included Igli Hasani, Ervin Hoxha, Sara Mila, and Edmond Haxhinasto. They met with Fatma Aksal, head of the Turkey–Albania Parliamentary Friendship Group.

Mila proposed creating a cooperation platform for youth from both countries. She suggested linking young MPs and launching joint programs in education and tourism. She also highlighted training and professional exchanges.

The Turkish side welcomed the proposal. Both parties agreed to advance it through the Albania–Turkey Friendship Group. They also discussed organizing joint events and visits.

During the stay in Ankara, the delegation visited the Turkish Parliament. They followed a plenary session and learned about the institution’s work.

The visit is seen as a step to increase youth involvement. It also aims to deepen cooperation between Albania and Turkey.
