Albania and France Sign First Film Co-Production Agreement in Cannes

Cannes Film Festival hosts a historic agreement between Albania and France on film co-productions.

Minister Blendi Gonxhja signs the deal and calls it a strategic step for Albanian cinema. He says the agreement opens new doors for Albanian filmmakers in Europe and beyond.

French officials welcome the partnership. They say the agreement strengthens cultural ties and supports joint film production between the two countries.

The agreement allows co-produced films to gain national status in both Albania and France. It also gives filmmakers access to public funding and support schemes.

Officials say the deal boosts cooperation in the audiovisual sector and creates new opportunities for international productions.
