Begaj: Western Balkans Have Strategic Importance for NATO

President Bajram Begaj meets today participants of the High Course on Security and Defence at the Albanian Armed Forces College.

Representatives from security institutions and allied countries attend the meeting. These include Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Hungary, Croatia, Kosovo, Poland, and Jordan.

Begaj praises the course. He highlights cooperation among civilian and military professionals. He says it builds trust and strengthens international links.

The discussion focuses on geopolitics and security. It also focuses on cooperation between allies.

Begaj stresses the importance of stability in the Western Balkans. He says regional security matters for NATO.

He notes that despite progress toward Euro-Atlantic integration, political developments in the region remain complex.

He also highlights Kosovo as an important issue. He says Albania continues to support Kosovo’s integration into international organizations.

He calls for more recognitions for Kosovo. He also supports Kosovo’s NATO membership and participation in alliance missions.
