Balla: IBAR Approval in Brussels Marks Important Moment for Albania

Socialist Party parliamentary group chairman Taulant Balla met with Austrian personalities who have served over the years as ministers, MPs, and members of the European Parliament. They are considered long-time supporters of Albania.

During the meeting, participants also held a video call with Andreas Schieder.

In his remarks, Balla praised Austria’s historic role in supporting Albania. He said Austria has consistently defended Albanian interests and remained an important partner in the country’s European journey.

Referring to recent developments in the integration process, Balla said the approval of the IBAR in Brussels marks an important moment for Albania. He also thanked Austrian partners and European institutions for their continued support.

Meanwhile, Socialist Party MP Romina Kuko also attended the meeting. She stressed that Austria remains one of the strongest supporters of Albania’s European path, even after more than a century of close relations between the two countries.
