The Bay of Vlora Bay has officially opened the summer tourist season, bringing improvements in organization and maritime transport.
Tourist boats with a capacity of more than 12 passengers have begun regular daily operations, offering greater safety, comfort, and more travel options for the growing number of local and international visitors.
Port Captain Lorenc Rexhepaj said that this season promises an exceptional experience for all those choosing to explore Albania’s coastline by sea.
He stated that the tourist fleet is ready to provide full guided tours to the region’s most popular destinations.
According to him, certified passenger boats now meet high safety standards monitored by the Port Authority, ensuring smooth travel for families and larger groups.
He also noted that the first wave of tourists has already started to fill the main promenade of Lungomare Vlora and the port area, with operators reporting strong booking demand from the early days of operation.
Vlora once again confirms its position as Albania’s main maritime tourism hub.
Key cruise destinations include the island of Sazan Island, the former military base now open to visitors with its unique history and untouched nature.
Another highlight is the Haxhi Ali Cave, a natural and historical site where boats stop so visitors can swim in its crystal-clear waters.
Cruises along the Karaburun Peninsula include stops at several beaches along the coast, including remote and untouched bays on its western side, known for their postcard-like scenery and deep blue Ionian waters.
