TIRANA, May 28 – Farmers across Albania receive assistance for applications under the 2026 National Support Scheme. Staff work at offices of the Agricultural and Rural Extension Agency (AREB) and Agropoints and guide farmers through applications on the e-Albania portal.
Meanwhile, Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Andis Salla called on farmers to apply for financial support. He described the scheme as an opportunity to support production, investment and sustainable agricultural development.
Applications opened on May 25 and will remain open until June 26. Farmers apply through the e-Albania online portal. At the same time, the process requires no supporting documents and no fee.
The 2026 National Support Scheme includes 12 measures. Authorities split them into direct support measures and investment measures. Direct measures cover registered cattle herds, registered sheep and goat herds, beekeeping, biological control in greenhouses, organic farms, Global G.A.P certification, support for cultivated areas and fish restocking in inland waters.
In addition, investment measures support young farmers, construction and reconstruction of mountain shelters, and agricultural mechanisation. The Agriculture Ministry said the scheme aims to increase sector competitiveness. It also aims to encourage farm investment. It further aims to improve production capacities and agricultural standards in Albania.
