Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha shared photos on Facebook from a meeting with Margaret Ceterfeld, a representative of Sweden’s “Moderate” Party.
Berisha wrote that Ceterfeld expressed her support for his candidacy for chairman of the Democratic Party.
According to the Democratic Party leader, the discussions focused on political developments in Albania, as well as cooperation among European right-wing parties.

“I had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Margaret Ceterfeld, representative of Sweden’s ‘Moderate’ Party, who expressed support for my candidacy for chairman of the Democratic Party.
During the meeting, discussions focused on political developments in Albania, strengthening cooperation among European right-wing forces, and the importance of protecting democratic values, freedom, and the rule of law.
An important part of the conversation was also the issue of high-level corruption in Albania, its impact on democratic institutions, and the need for a genuine fight against abuse of power and state capture.
Ms. Ceterfeld expressed her appreciation and support for a strong and united opposition in Albania.
This meeting confirms the importance of international relations and cooperation among conservative and democratic forces in Europe.
Mr. Henrik Johansson, Ms. Albana Vokshi, Democratic Party MP and chairwoman of LDGSH, also attended the meeting.”
