Koçiu: 26 Mountain Package beneficiaries set stage for tourism growth in Gjinar

Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu has highlighted the tourism and economic potential of Gjinar, in the Elbasan region, describing the Mountain Package as a key opportunity to attract investment, create new businesses and increase visitor numbers.

Koçiu stressed that Gjinar’s natural beauty provides a strong foundation for tourism. However, local residents and their investments will play a decisive role in turning the area into an increasingly attractive destination. By expanding tourism services and diversifying its offerings, they can draw more visitors and support local economic growth.

“The 26 beneficiaries of the Mountain Package are only the first step towards a new chapter for tourism and economic development in Gjinar,” Koçiu said.

She added that the initiative gives Albanians an opportunity to turn their ancestral land into a source of entrepreneurship, job creation and prosperity. Through new businesses and investment, the area can build on its natural assets and unlock greater economic potential.
