TIRANA, June 5 – President Bajram Begaj received the credentials of North Macedonia’s new ambassador to Albania, Vele Trpevski, and the new ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Albania, Turki Ibraheem Almadhi.
During talks with Trpevski, Begaj praised the strong neighbourly relations and cooperation between Albania and North Macedonia. He expressed commitment to further strengthening ties in the interest of citizens, regional stability and a shared European future. Meanwhile, the president said Albanians in North Macedonia remain a state-building factor and a guarantor of stability, democracy and the country’s Euro-Atlantic orientation. He added that they serve as the strongest bridge of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
In a separate meeting, Begaj reaffirmed Albania’s commitment to strengthening relations with Saudi Arabia. He wished Ambassador Almadhi success in his diplomatic mission and said both countries should continue expanding their friendly ties in support of shared interests and the well-being of their citizens.
