Authorities in Albania are intensifying preparations for the upcoming concert of American rapper Kanye West in Tirana, scheduled for July 11.
Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport Blendi Gonxhja said teams are working on the ground to deliver a safe and memorable experience for attendees.
First, officials from the Ministry, the Municipality of Tirana, the Albanian Road Authority, the State Police, Civil Emergencies, the National Emergency Medical Center, the Fire Service, and OSHEE inspected the site. They coordinated security measures and logistics directly.
Gonxhja said preparations are moving at a fast pace. In addition, he stressed that authorities aim to ensure safety, smooth organization, and a high-quality experience for thousands of participants.
“The countdown has begun,” he said. “Albania prepares for one of the biggest music events of the year.”
Moreover, he underlined that institutions coordinate closely to manage visitor flows, public safety, transport, emergency response, and infrastructure support.
Finally, organizers expect tens of thousands of visitors from Albania, the region, and abroad. As a result, Tirana will become a major international music destination this summer.
