Israeli photographer captures Vjosa river landscapes in Albania

TIRANA, June 16 – Natural landscapes across Albania continue to attract visitors from around the world. Unspoiled rivers, mountains, and rural scenery are shaping growing interest among photographers who seek less-explored Mediterranean destinations.

Iris from Israel is among them. She is a photographer with more than 40 years of professional experience who has been travelling across Albania for the past ten days, exploring several natural destinations.

The Vjosa River valley has been at the centre of her work. The photographer followed the river along its course and focused on its changing landscapes, capturing natural features and the surrounding terrain.

I am very happy to take so many photos here,” she said. Iris described the Vjosa area as visually rich, highlighting the variety of landscapes and the experience of photographing in the region.

This is her first visit to Albania. The Israeli photographer said she plans to return, describing the country as very beautiful and pointing to its food and hospitality.

I think we will come back again,” she said. Iris expressed satisfaction with the experience and emphasized the strong impression left by both nature and people.

Her journey across Albania continues. The photographer will leave with hundreds of images and with lasting impressions shaped by rivers, mountains, and coastal light.
