TIRANA, June 26 – Albania and Kosova signed two cooperation agreements on agriculture and rural development during Kosova Agriculture Minister Armend Muja’s visit to Tirana.
Meanwhile, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Andis Salla said the agreements reflected the strong relations between the two countries. He also stressed their shared commitment to turning cooperation into concrete initiatives and measurable results for citizens.
In addition, Salla said the agreements follow the meeting held in Prishtina in April and put earlier commitments into practice. One agreement focuses on agricultural advisory services, technology transfer and innovation. The other promotes joint marketing, product promotion and easier trade in agri-food products.
At the same time, Salla described agriculture as a strategic sector for both countries. He said the sector supports economic growth, rural development, job creation and food security. He also called for stronger capacities to develop joint initiatives for farmers and agri-food businesses.
According to Salla, the marketing agreement will strengthen the competitiveness of Albanian and Kosova agri-food products. He added that the initiative will also expand their presence in regional and international markets.
