Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha met today with Paolo Zampolli, the United States Special Envoy for Global Partnerships.
The meeting focused on ways to deepen the strategic partnership between Albania and the United States. The two sides paid particular attention to expanding economic cooperation, increasing trade and attracting more US investment to Albania.
Hoxha and Zampolli reaffirmed the strong friendship and special relationship between the two countries. They also expressed their shared commitment to turning these close ties into new partnerships and concrete benefits for citizens and both economies.
Hoxha stressed that the transatlantic relationship remains the cornerstone of Albania’s security. He also described it as essential to strengthening the country’s democratic resilience.
“The strength of our friendship also lies in our ability to create new opportunities for cooperation. These opportunities can bring closer ties, greater prosperity and tangible benefits to both our countries and peoples,” Hoxha said.
Moreover, the meeting highlighted the need to identify concrete areas and initiatives that can give Albania-US cooperation new momentum. In particular, both sides want to strengthen the economic dimension of their strategic partnership.
As a result, Albania and the United States aim to expand practical cooperation, increase economic exchanges and create new opportunities for American investment in Albania.
