Deputy Speaker of the Albanian Parliament Klodiana Spahiu, who has also been nominated as Minister of Health and Social Welfare, met today with Ambassador Paolo Zampolli, US President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy and the US government’s Special Representative for Global Partnerships.
Spahiu and Zampolli discussed the strong relations between Albania and the United States. They also examined the importance of their strategic alliance and explored opportunities for concrete partnerships across different sectors.
Spahiu stressed that Albania and the United States share a strong partnership based on common values and interests. She said the two countries continue to deepen cooperation in strategically important areas.
“In this context, Albania’s hosting of the NATO Summit next year further demonstrates our country’s growing role as a trusted partner of the North Atlantic Alliance. It also shows our commitment to peace, security and stability in the region,” Spahiu said.
Moreover, Spahiu highlighted the importance of turning the strong bilateral relationship into concrete partnerships. She said these partnerships can support Albania’s development and create new opportunities for citizens.
At the same time, the meeting highlighted the continued commitment of Albania and the United States to strengthening their strategic partnership. Both sides also discussed cooperation that can contribute to regional peace, security and stability.
