Manaj scores and assists, Asllani makes spectacular debut with Eurogoal

Albanian footballers enjoyed another positive week in international leagues. Several national team players played key roles for their clubs, scoring goals and delivering strong performances.

Rey Manaj, Kristjan Asllani, Ernest Muçi, Taulant Seferi, Cristian Shpendi and Bujar Pllana all found the net. Their goals helped their teams secure important results.

In Turkey, Rey Manaj played a decisive role in Sivasspor’s 2-1 away win against Antalyaspor. The Albania striker provided the assist for the opening goal in the 20th minute. Then, in the second half, he scored Sivasspor’s second goal in the 61st minute. As a result, Manaj directly contributed to both of his team’s goals.

Meanwhile, Kristjan Asllani made a spectacular debut for Al Jazira. The Albanian midfielder started his new adventure in the best possible way. He scored a stunning goal in stoppage time against Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai. His spectacular strike sealed Al Jazira’s victory and gave his debut a memorable finish.

In the Turkish league, Ernest Muçi also made an impact. He scored in Trabzonspor’s emphatic 5-0 win over Gençlerbirliği. The Albania forward netted his team’s fourth goal after a precise assist from Salah.

Taulant Seferi also scored in Turkey. The Albanian striker found the net in the 53rd minute for Kayserispor away against Karagümrük. His goal gave Kayserispor the lead, although the match eventually ended 1-1.

In Italy, Cristian Shpendi continued his impressive form with Cesena. The Albanian striker scored the equalizer in the 77th minute against Mantova and secured the final 1-1 result. Furthermore, Shpendi scored for the third consecutive league match, confirming his strong form in recent weeks.

In Switzerland, Bujar Pllana scored a particularly important goal. The Albania defender rescued Grasshopper in the derby against Zürich. He headed the ball into the net in the 96th minute to make it 2-2. The goal avoided defeat for Grasshopper and marked Pllana’s first goal for the Swiss club, which he joined this summer.

Several other Albania internationals also featured for their clubs. Thomas Strakosha, Berat Gjimshiti, Klisman Cake, Stavro Pilo, Ylber Ramadani, Qazim Laçi and Arbër Hoxha started their respective matches.

At the same time, Ardian Ismajli, Mirlind Daku and Armando Broja came on as substitutes. They continued their involvement in their respective leagues.

Overall, the week once again highlighted the growing impact of Albanian footballers abroad. Their goals and performances continue to give the national team valuable options ahead of upcoming international challenges.
