President Bajram Begaj has marked the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States. He paid tribute to the 2,977 people who lost their lives.
In a social media post, Begaj expressed his condolences and solidarity with the victims’ families and loved ones.
“A quarter of a century has passed, but for America, for us, and for our allies who share the same values, September 11 remains a collective reminder. It reshaped our lives and showed us the terrible consequences of hateful ideologies.
Over the years, America, this great and strong nation, has shown the world that nothing can defeat it,” the President wrote.
Begaj also reaffirmed Albania’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation. He stressed the need to build a safer and more peaceful world for future generations.
