General jurisdiction prosecutors from Tirana, Elbasan, Durrës, Gjirokastër, Sarandë, Kukës, Korçë, Berat, Fier, Vlora, Dibër, Lezhë and Shkodër took part in a training session on prosecutorial ethics and professional dilemmas.
The Dutch Embassy in Albania said the training was led by Dutch prosecutor Disa Jironet. It focused on complex cases, particularly domestic and gender-based violence, where choosing the right approach requires open and professional discussion.
The event took place under the PEOPLE project, implemented by the Center for Legal and Civic Initiatives in partnership with the General Prosecution Office.
The training brought together Albanian and Dutch prosecutorial expertise while promoting ethical practice, professional reflection and the exchange of experience.
The Dutch Embassy stressed that stronger ethics, professional dialogue and public trust in the justice system are essential for strengthening the rule of law and advancing Albania’s EU integration.
