Grenell: Kurti Must Act Quickly to Dissolve the Specialist Chambers

Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s envoy, Richard Grenell, reacted following the guilty verdict issued by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague against the KLA leaders.

Grenell said that Albin Kurti must act quickly to dissolve this foreign court.

“The sentence handed down by The Hague court against Hashim Thaçi, for a war fought 25 years ago, is disgraceful.

No one is safe from this prosecution, where academic elites make political decisions. These are American judges and prosecutors, all from the extreme fringe. They clearly did not listen to Bill Clinton’s advisers, who made it clear that Thaçi did not run the war.

Swiss judge Guénaël Mettraux was actually the leader, ignoring the legal issues and choosing instead their Jack Smith politics,” Grenell wrote.

He said that the U.S. Department and Attorney General Todd must act quickly, adding that Americans are paying for these political prosecutions and that this must stop.

“Albin Kurti must also act quickly to dissolve this foreign court. Members of Parliament must stand with Kurti to make this possible. Kosovo does not need a court in the Netherlands,” Grenell added.
