TIRANA, April 8 – Tirana will host the IV Diaspora Summit from 14 to 16 April. The event gathers Albanians from around the world who live and work abroad while keeping strong ties to their roots.

The summit opens on Monday evening, 13 April, at 18:00 with a welcome ceremony at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet. The ceremony features Albanian music and serves as the first formal gathering of participants. Organizers aim to create a shared memory and celebrate notable and inspiring contributions.

The ceremony will honor human stories that reflect the creativity and innovation of Albanians worldwide. It will also recognize foreigners who support Albania and its diaspora through cultural and social initiatives.

Officials say the event emphasizes the unity of Albanians everywhere. The summit highlights the shared identity and common bonds that connect Albanians across borders. The central message is clear: “Shqipëria një dhe e pandarë” — “Albania united and indivisible.”
