Albanian music project wins Best Human–AI Collaboration award in Cannes

Albanian singer Evi Reçi and virtual artist Bora Faira have won the “Best Human–AI Collaboration” award at the World AI Music Festival in Cannes, marking an international achievement for Albanian music.

The festival announced the award during its October 2026 edition, recognising the project “Nata Sonte” for bringing together human creativity and artificial intelligence.

TIVQ, Premtim Xhaferri and Kledi Hysa produced the project, with Evi Reçi and virtual artist Bora Faira taking part.

The song and its music video combine Reçi’s vocal performance and artistic presence with a virtual character created through artificial intelligence. Together, they explore new creative possibilities for the music industry.

While Evi Reçi brings the human voice to the project, Bora Faira represents a new generation of virtual performers developed through AI technology.

Beyond its artistic achievement, “Nata Sonte” highlights how artificial intelligence is changing the creative process and opening new opportunities for collaboration between artists and technology.

The Cannes award recognises the Albanian project in a category dedicated specifically to human-AI collaboration.
