TIRANA, June 15 – Albania has improved living standards significantly over the past 10 years, according to a new analysis by the Albanian Tax-Economic Center.
The analysis, which the Media and Information Agency shared, reviews the 2025–2026 Living Standards Index. It shows that Albania recorded notable progress in well-being, human development and living conditions between 2015 and 2025.
According to the Albanian Tax-Economic Center, the well-being index rose to 71.2 points in 2025 from 52.4 points in 2015. The report identifies this increase of 18.8 points as a key indicator of improving living conditions.
Meanwhile, the analysis notes that Albania entered the category of countries with high human development for the first time. The report highlights longer life expectancy, better healthcare outcomes, improved education and higher levels of citizen happiness.
In addition, the study records progress in education, healthcare and longevity. It also points to growth in gross domestic product per capita during the past decade.
The Albanian Tax-Economic Center says economic growth supported higher incomes, expanded economic opportunities and improved living standards.
As a result, the analysis concludes that Albania achieved measurable progress between 2015 and 2025. The report says the country strengthened the foundations for sustainable development in the years ahead. It adds that well-being increased significantly, human development advanced and the economy gained greater stability.
