Prime Minister Edi Rama has shared images of the Archive Museum at the General Directorate of Archives. He described it as a “Temple of Documents.”
The new museum brings history and technology together. Visitors can explore the past through documents, images, sound and interactive displays. The museum brings Albania’s documentary heritage closer to the public, especially younger generations.
Unlike a traditional museum, the Archive Museum tells history through written records, photographs, maps, publications, manuscripts and other materials. These documents reflect different aspects of Albanian society over the years.
Visitors can see rare documents and materials in the museum’s exhibition halls. The exhibition traces Albania’s history through social, cultural and institutional developments. The Archive Museum is one of the newest museum spaces in Tirana and offers a different way to explore the country’s history through authentic documentary records.
