Balla: EU integration requires reforms and citizen engagement

Parliamentary Group Chair of the Socialist Party Taulant Balla said Albania’s European Union integration requires continued reforms and strong citizen involvement.

He spoke during a discussion with students of the European University of Tirana held at Preza Castle.

Balla focused on the progress of reforms and the fulfillment of conditions set within the EU integration process.

He said Albania’s goal of closing negotiations is based on the country’s progress so far and the current pace of talks with the European Union.

He also stressed the importance of civic engagement in this key national process.

Students discussed the role of young people in decision-making processes.

They also highlighted the importance of informing the new generation about the challenges and opportunities of EU integration.

Balla described EU membership as a historic project for Albania.

He said completing reforms and maintaining public support remain essential for the country’s path toward full EU membership.

The event brought together representatives from European football federations. The conference focused on human resources and financial management inside football federations.
