Socialist Party Parliamentary Group Chairman Taulant Balla met today with US President Donald J. Trump’s Special Envoy for Global Partnerships, Ambassador Paolo Zampolli, at the Albanian Parliament.
During the meeting, Balla and Zampolli discussed the strong relationship between Albania and the United States. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments related to peace, security and cooperation among allied countries.
Balla praised the strategic partnership between Albania and the United States. He also highlighted Albania’s role as a factor of stability in the region and a reliable NATO ally.
Meanwhile, the two officials focused on Albania’s preparations to host the NATO Summit next year. The event will further highlight the country’s role within the alliance and its contribution to regional security.
According to Balla, Ambassador Zampolli praised Albania’s contribution to promoting peace and dialogue. He also welcomed Prime Minister Edi Rama’s engagement in international initiatives aimed at advancing peace.
Furthermore, the meeting highlighted Albania’s tradition of interfaith coexistence. The participants described it as a rare example of harmony and tolerance that has helped strengthen national unity and social cohesion over the years.
